FAQ
1. I have visited some websites recently and I am confused about the materials and whats best.
Can you help me out?
This is an interesting question for a number of reasons.
Firstly it's a great way to confuse someone by bamboozling them with material types, brands and so on.
For the average boating enthusiast who goes boating 3-6 months of the year (where the boat is garaged for the rest of the time) your main priority is:
1. Stickers are made Viynl that is manufactured in Europe or the US.
2. The adhesive is water proof.
3. The viynl has a minimium of 5 year out door rating.
We have used Arlon 2100, Mactac 9800, M7 and Avery 700, 800 & 900 and all bond very well on gelcoat which is the outside layer of most fibreglass boats. All viynls are different and some have an initial tack than others.
If you have a boat moored on the water we use and suggest Arlon Cast 2100 which has been extensively tested in desert areas in the USA and love the initial high tack this material offers
2. How do you make the stickers?
We use Roland equipment to make all stickers using a Viynl.
We also use a marine grade polymeric vinyl for 1 colour stickers and we also use the same material for shadow or outline stickers.
Full colour stickers using our digital solvent printer is also available but we do suggest using vinyl.
3. How long does it take to make and send out stickers order from boatstickers.com.au?
Generally these are made and posted to you on the same day.
4. How do you send out your stickers?
We use a mailing tube for all postal deliveries.
5. What if I have a problem with my boat name sticker discount?
They shouldn't because each sticker is tested under a UV light before posting these out but if there is a problem we will make you another and post it off.
